Um colega me perguntou a diferença entre yell, shout e scream, fiquei confusa, mas ao falar com um nativo, ele me explicou que as 3 palavras são sinônimas. Conferi no dicionário e realmente é isso mesmo.
yell – shout loudly, for example because you are angry, excited, frightened or in pain.
yell (at somebody/something) – He yelled at the other driver.
shout – to say something in a loud voice; to speak loudly/angrily to somebodyStop shouting and listen!
shout for something – I shouted for help but nobody came.
shout at somebody- Then he started shouting and swearing at her.
scream – to give a loud, high cry, because you are hurt, frightened, excited, etc.
scream in/with something The kids were screaming with excitement.
